Doing the retreat with Samskara is definitely in the top 3 things I’ve ever done. The location and retreat facilities are beautiful and Anna and Alicia provided so much for our group. One special callout is their ability to translate everything that’s happening from Spanish to English on the fly (since our group was mixed Spanish/English) speakers. I will say that the start of the week was more difficult for me than I had expected. Anna, Arturo and the other people on retreat really helped guide me through it though and the second half of the week was just fantastic. And you know what they say “No pain, no gain”

Retreat worth considering I was able to experience a 6-days/5-nights retreat at Samskara, which was an awesome experience definitely worth trying. Among all the retreat options in Mexico, this one was highly recommended to me, and I'm really happy to have chosen this one over others. I was part of a rather large group, still I felt a family-like vibe throughout the week, all staff was very thoughtful and respectful towards the participants. I liked the design of the program which allowed us to slowly ease into the experience and experience an individual, yet common journey.
The takeaways I received from my Ayahuasca experience cannot really be put into words. Over the past few years, my girlfriend and I have had conversations about trying Ayahuasca. Since I’m a business owner and work a lot, my girlfriend decided to attend a retreat without me. Upon her arrival back home, I immediately saw and felt a HUGE difference in her. I knew I had to go! Five months later, I finally took the plunge and signed up through Samskara Ayahuasca Retreats. Day one we met everyone at lunch and then participated in a Temazcal (Sweat lodge) This was a great experience which got everyone primed for the Ayahuasca ceremony the next day. Aya takes you on a ride. For me, the first thing Aya showed me was the absolute beauty and comedic aspects of life. Not just life on this planet but life in the entire universe. She showed me that EVERYTHING is energy. Aya had me ask myself, “What energy are you putting out into the universe because this is very important to be aware of.” Aya showed me that I take life WAY too serious! She then showed me the pain my girlfriend and my son have experienced. This was very emotional for me but it was necessary. It was necessary to “feel” their pain so that I could have compassion for them. DEEP compassion for them but also for all people! Aya takes you from A-Z right now! She allows you to circumvent the fluff and the bullshit and go directly to your soul’s core. This allows you to have immense clarity and heal your soul! I think EVERYONE should experience what Aya can show you. I now know where I need to be and where I’m headed with absolute clarity. Mother Ayahuasca I will see you again very soon!
I'm living proof that you can have epilepsy and also do Ayahuasca, Its safe. I've been on the journey of spirituality for 7 years now and I must say this has been one of the most profound experiences I've had. After attending some amazing seminars, completing a coaching program, and working with some great teachers, I was left wondering what the next chapter in my life would look like. I was tired of the rat race and in spirituality, I felt stuck with dreams and goals. Then life came crashing down on me with the passing of my father, depression, losing my job and the difficulties of beginning a new career. I then realized that I was in a state of depression and going into unhealthy habits. Through numerous friends that had experienced this sacred ceremony I became interested and asked about their experience. I felt that it was something that I had to do for myself. I knew that if I was going to dive into this new experience, it had to be in a sacred and safe space with people I trust. I didn't know what to expect or what it was going to look like. I just surrendered completely to the experience and the program. Ayahuasca will show you how to embrace your gifts. I've done this retreat 3 times because there was so much information packed in the ceremonies that have been my guide to my life now. During the retreat, I realized that every activity from the Temazcal (sweat lodge) to doing Kambo and the ayahuasca ceremonies were all perfectly aligned with the purpose of helping you heal layers of what's getting in the way. Ayahuasca is a loving and powerful healer, curiosity is the beginning of the calling. I'm glad I answered the call. It's like having years of therapy in a cup. Thank you to the staff at the Xochipilli center and to Arturo for sharing all his knowledge and experience. I’ve been hearing about Ayahuasca for a while and interested in doing it for the last few years , but not really sure where to go and who to trust. Once I heard a few of my friends' testimonies about this retreat in Mexico , I was in. My intentions were to have more clarity on my life purpose and whatever the mother Aya would show me. I’m so very grateful and glad I did it with Arturo at Xochipilli in the jungle of Cancun. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place to be. Also there was so much loving energy from Arturo and his amazing team through all Kambo and Ayahuasca ceremonies. Especially when I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. My first Kambo ceremony was an ass kicker, It was so intense physically and mentally. I found out I had so much fear in me to the point that I just wanted to run away and didn't want to go forward. Fortunately with love and understanding from Arturo, he reassured me that I was safe and in order to heal I had to face my fear. Ah!! Thanks to Arturo for encouraging me , I became a warrior , ended up going through all 3 ceremonies and I’m so very happy I did it. It's like the best thing ever. The feeling of joy afterwards, the light and clarity that came into me was so wonderful I can’t really describe in words. The full moon and million stars, the trees, the wind, the love,the energy and the beautiful and powerful live music during all ceremonies took me deep into my consciousness. Arturo’s pure love and soothing voice had guided me through my trips, my deep pain and awakened me to another side that was filled with love and happiness. And all the meals were amazing and very enjoyable even with minimal and clean ingredients. If I decide to do it again , I would only go to Xochipilli. I will be attending the retreat again and I can't wait to dig deeper into my mind! I arrived in Cancun pretty much blind. I did some research on Aya and read lots of trip reports from others, but overall I didn’t really grasp how powerful DMT/Aya really was, or could be for someone like me. I followed the diet pretty solidly. An organic diet, consisting of Organic Chicken and tons of clean veggies. That part alone was difficult for me. Before the diet I struggled with weight. Some experiences I am not willing to share due to privacy and processing. This is about what I am willing to share to the public. It was amazing. I felt great. A total 360 from my first AYA experience. I will be attending the retreat again in June! Can’t wait to do it again and dig deeper into my mind!
I was desperate for healing and ayahuasca called to me. I felt guided to the medicine after begging my guides for help. I considered attending retreats in South America, however, due to my medical conditions I wanted to be close enough to a modern hospital if I needed it so I landed on a retreat in Mexico that had good reviews and boy am I happy I did. Anna and Amina are wonderful!!! They made my health a priority from the start and delivered an exceptional experience. I was not able to go as deep into the journey as some but I had enough to help with my primary reason for being at the retreat and Momma Aya delivered just what I needed. This retreat experience is far more than just getting the medicine! There are a number of healing modalities presented and frankly I had one of my more profound experiences in one of those. All the folks involved with the week's experience are loving, nurturing and dedicated to your healing and spiritual growth. I was suffering from dissociative disorder and left the retreat feeling deeply connected and appreciative of all the wonderful souls I encountered during the retreat. I am forever changed by this experience. It is not easy but it is SO worth it.
This retreat was exactly what as participants we needed, very thoughtful and beautifully curated. The food was healthy and delicious, the plant medicine ceremonies were incredible, and the other activities were so vital to the integration and processing aspects of the plant medicine experience. Anna and her team did a phenomenal job and this is the only way I can ever think of doing a proper ayahuasca ceremony. If you want to have a wholesome experience, and know you're supported and taken care of, I highly recommend Samskara healing retreats. Aho!
